Question of the Week

“Over 8.3 million Floridians will receive economic stimulus rebate checks this year, fusing more than $7 billion into Florida’s economy. Do I qualify for a tax rebate? And if so, how much should I expect to receive?”

The Internal Review Service’s Economic Stimulus Payments Information Center, provides a guide to estimate your return. General guidelines state that the economic stimulus rebate is configured based on your tax liability, filing status and other qualifying factors, including the number of dependents listed on your return.

For most Floridians, the minimum is $300 for an individual or $600 for a couple filing jointly. The maximum is $600 per individual and $1200 per couple.
